How we collect and use (process) your personal information
Rectify Technologies collects personal information about its website visitors and customers. With a few exceptions, this information is generally limited to:
Name
Job title
Employer name
Work address
Work email
Work phone number
We use this information to provide prospects and customers with services.
We do not sell personal information and only share it with third parties who help deliver our services.
We may also receive personal information from third parties, including:
Details on your employer or industry
Public data from third-party sites (e.g. LinkedIn)
Use of the Rectify Technologies Website
Our website collects information automatically through log files, such as:
IP address
Browser type
Device info
Usage patterns
General location
We use this data to improve our website and better understand visitor behavior.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (including browser localStorage) on rectifytech.com and app.rectifytech.com to operate the service and to understand how it's used. Storage falls into the following categories:
Strictly necessary cookies handle authentication, session management, and consent storage. These are required and set without consent under the ePrivacy exemption. Statistics cookies collect anonymous usage analytics and session replays — these are optional and only set after you opt in via our cookie banner. Marketing cookies measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and are also optional, set only after you opt in.
Cal.com – for meeting scheduling
Auth0 – for login and authentication
Sentry – for error and performance monitoring
By using our website or platform, you consent to these providers’ cookie use as described.
Storage we set
CookieConsent (Cookiebot / Cybot A/S) — Cookie. Stores your cookie consent decision across rectifytech.com and app.rectifytech.com. Duration: 1 year. Category: Necessary.
@@auth0spajs@@ (multiple keys) (Auth0) — localStorage. Caches your authenticated session, ID token and access token so you stay signed in. Duration: Until logout or token expiry. Category: Necessary.
_clck (Microsoft Clarity) — Cookie. Persists a unique visitor ID so usage is grouped per browser. Duration: 1 year. Category: Statistics.
_clsk (Microsoft Clarity) — Cookie. Links page views within a single session. Duration: 1 day. Category: Statistics.
_ga (Google / Google Analytics 4) — Cookie. Distinguishes unique visitors across our sites. Duration: 2 years. Category: Statistics.
ga<container-id> (Google / Google Analytics 4) — Cookie. Persists session state for a specific GA4 property. Duration: 2 years. Category: Statistics.
_gcl_au (Google Ads) — Cookie. Attributes conversions to Google Ads campaigns. Duration: 90 days. Category: Marketing.
Analytics — Microsoft Clarity
When you accept Statistics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors interact with our site. Clarity captures page views, clicks, scrolling and mouse movements, session replays (a video-like recreation of your visit), and aggregate heatmaps showing where visitors click and scroll.
We use this strictly to improve the product — fixing usability issues, prioritising what to build, and understanding which parts of the site are confusing.
What we mask. Clarity is configured with strict masking. Form input values, addresses, email addresses and any other personal information you type into forms are replaced with grey blocks in the recording — we cannot read what you typed. Password fields are never recorded.
Logged-in customers. When you sign in, we send Clarity an opaque internal user identifier (not your email) and your first name only, so we can correlate sessions to support tickets you raise with us.
Microsoft as our processor. Microsoft processes Clarity data on our behalf under a Data Processing Addendum. Clarity data is hosted in Microsoft data centres and may be transferred to the United States. Microsoft relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
For more on how Microsoft handles this data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement and the Clarity Terms of Use at https://clarity.microsoft.com/terms.
Legal basis (UK / EU users). Your consent (UK GDPR / GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR / ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3)). You can withdraw consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — pages visited, traffic sources, approximate location at city level, and device type. We have IP anonymisation enabled and we do not enable Google Signals, ad-personalisation features, or cross-device tracking.
We use Google Ads conversion tracking (the _gcl_au cookie) to measure whether visitors who arrived from a Google Ads campaign go on to request a quote or place an order. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
Google may transfer this data to the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. In Google Analytics 4, our retention is set to 2 months for events data and 14 months for user-identifier data.
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Legal basis: consent (UK GDPR / GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and PECR Art. 5(3)). Withdraw via "Cookie settings" — declining Statistics also blocks Google Analytics; declining Marketing blocks Google Ads conversion tracking.
Consent management — Cookiebot
We use Cookiebot (operated by Cybot A/S, Denmark) to record and respect your cookie choices. Cookiebot stores your decision in the CookieConsent cookie described above. Cybot acts as our processor.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR / GDPR, you have the right to withdraw consent for analytics or marketing cookies at any time via the "Cookie settings" link, request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing or request portability, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK or your national supervisory authority in the EU.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at gavin@rectifytech.com.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (California residents)
We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA. To opt out, click "Cookie settings" and decline Statistics and Marketing cookies.
